Masonry & general repairs
Building Repairs & Restoration
Buildings wear in predictable places — walls, pointing, render and the joints where materials meet. We carry out general building repairs and restoration that keep a property sound and weathertight, working mainly with masonry, brickwork and the finishes that protect it.

General repairs and restoration
From a section of failed pointing to a weathered wall that needs bringing back, our building work is about maintaining and restoring what is already there. We repair and rebuild masonry, make good after other trades, and put right the everyday deterioration that comes with age and Scottish weather.
Brickwork, blockwork and masonry
We repair and rebuild brick and block walls, replace damaged units, and repoint joints where the mortar has eroded or been pointed badly in the past. Sound pointing matters more than it looks — it keeps water out of the wall and protects the masonry behind it.
Plastering and rendering
Internally we patch and re-skim plaster after repairs; externally we repair and renew render where it has cracked, blown or lost its bond. Getting the specification right — particularly on older, solid-walled buildings — is part of the job, not an afterthought.
Worth knowing — We concentrate on repair, restoration and maintenance. We do not take on extensions, garage conversions or loft conversions — if that is what you need, we are glad to point you in the right direction.
